Kronospan x Lawcris

The Kronospan stand at Clerkenwell Design Week

.

Recently, Lawcris and Knonospan ventured together to Clerkenwell Design Week, an event which showcases the best of contemporary design, attracting architects, designers, industry professionals and design enthusiasts from around the world.

Kronospan created a buzz of excitement with their stunning new décor range, which was successfully launched earlier this year. Included on the stand was also the cutting-edge collection of decorative panels from Emporio Skin, a revolutionary product line offered by Kronospan Italia presented by Lawcris.

Lauren Barker, Lawcris Marketing Manager, says: “We were already so thrilled to be chosen to exclusively distribute Emporio Skin in the UK, so to be asked to join Kronospan on their stand to showcase the range was truly a highlight of the year. Emporio Skin is brand new to this country, so it was great to have something fresh to showcase and discuss with prospective designers and architects, all who were keen on getting a sample box filled with edged boards for their offices.”

Emporio Skin is a collection of high-quality decorative panels that mimic the look and feel of natural materials such as wood, concrete, stone and metal. With meticulous attention to detail, Emporio Skin recreates the texture, depth and authenticity of the chosen material, creating a realistic and immersive environment.

Lauren continues: “We picked out the concrete and stone decors to have in a bigger format on the stand. Honestly, it was so funny to see people walk up to the door-size samples, prepare themselves to pick up something heavy, then practically launch the product upwards as they realised it was much lighter than expected. They were genuinely shocked at how realistic the surfaces looked and felt, they just couldn’t believe it was melamine-faced chipboard. Something then clicked as they grasped what this meant in terms of budgets, leading to many more conversations about how it could be used.”

Dean Carroll, Product Development Manager, explains, “In addition to its aesthetic appeal, Emporio Skin offers practical benefits. The panels are engineered with durability and ease of maintenance in mind. They are resistant to scratches and abrasions, ensuring a long-lasting and beautiful surface. The low-maintenance nature of Emporio Skin makes it an ideal choice for both residential and commercial applications, whilst leaving a few more pennies in your pocket compared to using the real thing.”

Stone and concrete decors

“One of the standout features of Emporio Skin is its versatility. The panels can be used in various applications, including furniture, cabinetry, wall coverings, doors, and more. This flexibility allows designers and architects to unleash their creativity and bring their visions to life. Whether it’s a contemporary, rustic, or industrial aesthetic, Emporio Skin offers a wide range of designs and finishes to suit different styles and preferences.

Kronospan Italia, the company behind Emporio Skin, is renowned for its commitment to sustainable practices. The Emporio Skin collection reflects this dedication by incorporating environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and materials. Kronospan Italia strives to reduce its carbon footprint and promote responsible sourcing, making Emporio Skin an eco-conscious choice for environmentally conscious consumers.

Lauren finishes: “The conversations I was lucky enough to have at the show confirmed that customers are looking for the new era of surface design. Emporio Skin offers a compelling solution for creating captivating and functional environments. By choosing this range of sustainable decorative panels, it contributes to a more eco-friendly approach to interior design and construction, promoting a greener and more sustainable future, values that Lawcris very much shares with Kronospan.

“From smokey graphite woodgrains, to sophisticated concretes, to tactile linens, the captivating collection itself is a tribute to Italian tradition. We have only just begun our exciting journey with Emporio Skin and look forward to teasing even more decors into the UK market.”
