Maxfield Jarvis benefits from Gallito spray finishing facility

Spray booth and drying systems specialist, Gallito, has recently completed a dry filter spray booth installation for leading retail shopfitter, Maxfield Jarvis.

Maxfield Jarvis is a new generation fit-out specialist which fully manages and executes individual or multiple projects for a growing number of top high street names.

Delivering a complete design, manufacturing, installation and refitting service, the company prides itself on its ability to provide the highest standard of service and craftsmanship.

Established in 1999, by present directors Danny Maxfield and Michael Jarvis, the company operates from a modern 22,000ft2 design and manufacturing centre near Loughborough, Leicestershire.

Having traditionally contracted out the spray painting of components, the company recently decided to look at bringing this capability in house. “Our clients demand a pristine spray finish, with substantial resistance to chipping and scratching,” says Michael Jarvis, “and an increase in demand for bespoke painted units led us to consider setting up our own spray shop.”

While visiting last year’s W14 exhibition, Michael Jarvis and Danny Maxfield were able to see Gallito spray booths on display and discuss their requirements with Gallito sales engineers. Following the show, Gallito was invited to complete a site survey before putting forward a proposal for the installation of a dry filter spray enclosure, to be sited on the mezzanine floor of the Maxfield Jarvis factory.

The project involved the design, supply and installation of a 4m-wide dry filter spray booth, together with a 6m x 6m enclosure.

The booth and enclosure are manufactured from galvanised folded panels and the enclosure includes filtered air inlet panels in the front walls. A double-hinged component access door and a single personnel access door are included along with integral lighting.

Two 1 sq m air inlet louvres were installed to allow air from outside to enter the building to replace the air being exhausted to atmosphere.

Michael Jarvis adds: “We were delighted with the way in which Gallito handled the project, and their installation team did a great job. We now have a first class in-house spray shop which means we can supervise and monitor the whole finishing process of spray painted products.”
