Company delighted about money savings from wood waste heater

A building contractor and bespoke joinery company is celebrating how much money it is saving since it purchased a wood waste heater from Wood Waste Technology.

London-based MP Brothers has been operating since 1974. Every year, the company had to hire gas heaters to heat its 10,000 sq ft factory throughout the cold winter months. Whilst the heaters were necessary to keep its 12 employees in the workshop warm, they were costly to run, so the management at MP Brothers started to look at alternative heating solutions.

The company soon realised it could utilise some of the waste wood generated from manufacture to feed a wood waste heater.  As well as saving on heating bills, the company would also benefit financially from reduced waste removal costs, as any waste wood could be burnt, rather than disposed of via skips, which was costing the business well over a thousand pounds each month.

MP Brothers purchased a WT15 heater from Wood Waste Technology in autumn 2013, which was installed by Wood Waste Technology’s professional team.

Ramesh Gopal, logistics manager at MP Brothers, says: “It’s great that all our waste timber can be used to create free heating for the factory, and we’re delighted that we no longer have to throw money away hiring skips to dispose of our waste wood. The investment in the heater has definitely been money well spent – I’d recommend any company in a similar situation to speak to Kurt and the team at Wood Waste Technology, as they really helped us find the best solution for our business.”

Wood Waste Technology’s managing director, Kurt Cockroft, says: “Companies are often amazed how much money they can save by investing in a wood waste heater, and impressed by the return on investment which is usually less than 12 months.”

Wood Waste Technology’s years of expertise in wood waste solutions have helped many companies reduce their waste disposal and heating costs. As well as offering site survey, design, manufacture, installation and on-going maintenance for new units, the company also services all types of wood waste heaters and supplies genuine spares up to 60% cheaper than other suppliers.

In addition, Wood Waste Technology is the UK official distributor for Gross Apparatebau GmbH, a German manufacturer of dependable, precision engineered shredders and briquetters, available in various sizes and specifications to suit all business applications.
