A Banbury exhibition company has purchased a wood waste heater from Wood Waste Technology to save money on waste disposal costs and obtain free heating for its workshop.
Modex Exhibitions specialises in exhibition stand design and construction so generates a lot of timber, MDF and other wood waste as a result of its manufacturing process.
Director of Modex Exhibitions, Rob Brooks had seen one of Wood Waste Technology’s wood waste heaters in a neighbouring kitchen-manufacturer’s premises on his industrial estate, so he saw first-hand how investing in a wood waste heater could reduce his business operating costs. As a result, he phoned Wood Waste Technology to find out more and arrange a site survey and quote.
After speaking with Wood Waste Technology, the company ordered a wood waste heater, which was installed earlier this year.
With waste disposal such a priority for the business, Modex Exhibitions ordered a WT15 with an additional summer heat dump, to allow the business the option to send unwanted heat to atmosphere, rather than into the factory, to allow the team to continue using the heater to burn wood waste throughout the warmer summer months.
MD of Wood Waste Technology, Kurt Cockroft says: “We’re finding many exhibition companies are looking at biomass solutions, due to the amount of waste wood that is generated in that industry, and the speedy payback on investment.”
