Following its investment in a new manufacturing cell, TKC faced the challenge of managing large volumes of wood dust and chippings generated during production. To address this, TKC partnered with Dust Control Environmental (DCE) to design a tailored dust control system for the new facility.
The project required a high-performance, space-efficient dust filter unit, which would capture dust directly at the processing source. The system needed to be equipped to handle MFC dust, wood chips and fine particulates produced by CNC machinery, while also incorporating efficient waste collection containers that were simple to access and empty.
DCE supplied and installed ECO 60 dust collectors, equipped with high-efficiency, low-noise fan sets to deliver powerful yet quiet operation. Smooth-bore, clip-together ductwork was used to optimise airflow and enable quick installation, while UltraFilter seamless bag technology was fitted into the ECO units to enhance sustainability.
The ECO 60 units were installed externally and fitted with weatherproofing kits. Waste management has been streamlined via four easily accessible bins.
