The machine was selected as a result of discussions between Howard Duffield and Daltons Wadkin sales director Andy Walsh and is already impacting on Duffield’s cross-cutting capacity and performance.
Duffield Timber is a family-owned business based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, which proudly boasts over 50 years of trading and the continuing involvement of three generations of the Duffield family. The company is a timber merchant and operates a highly-equipped site incorporating state-of-the-art machinery and handling systems coupled with a loyal and highly-trained workforce.
Howard Duffield was more than happy with the new installation and says: “The Salvador Superpush is a major upgrade from our previous cross-cutting operations. It’s safe, fast and accurate; furthermore the operators have taken to it very quickly. It is proving to be a really useful addition to our New Generation Sawmill.”
Andy Walsh comments: “Duffield Timber is the kind of company it is a pleasure to work with. Being old, established and family-owned, they have a lot in common with our own business and we feel quite sure that their investment in a Salvador Crosscut will bring significant benefits.”
