Gibbs Sandtech is aspiring for its own mini-industrial revolution, by taking the pain out of a manual, labour-intensive job: preparation sanding and de-nibbing. Designed and built in Gibbs Sandtech’s factory, tucked away in the leafy Hertfordshire countryside, the Cup Brush Sealer Sander is the culmination of almost 60 years’ worth of expertise in manufacturing machines for the woodworking industry and has proved by far its most successful product.
The machine gets its name from the system of multiple rotating “Cup-Brushes” mounted on an oscillating carriage. This simple system allows the Cup Brush to achieve 360-degree sanding, which is perfect for tricky items, like traditional slab and shaker doors or window frames. The abrasive fingers work their way into all the grooves and crevices, gently removing fibres and paint nibs much faster and more consistently than sanding by hand.
The machine even includes a roto blow bar on the out feed, so panels come out dust free and ready to spray, saving yet more time and effort.

However, far from being a “one-trick pony”, the Cup Brush machine is one of the most versatile machines on the market today. Brush changes are now even easier thanks to the redesigned chassis. Larger access doors and a rolling brush carriage that can slide out of either side of the machine enable clear access underneath the carriage.
