Salvador Superpush 200 installed by Daltons Wadkin at Westbridge Furniture, North Wales
North Wales-based Westbridge Furniture Designs has again entrusted Daltons Wadkin with the supply and instal its extensive production facility at Holywell, Clwyd. This time, the company has opted for two new Salvador Superpush 200 Optimising Crosscutting Systems and two further Altendorf F45 Sliding Table Panel Saws. These will complement the two Altendorf machines supplied by Daltons Wadkin a few months earlier and, together with the Crosscuts, provide additional capacity, accuracy and speed to Westbridge’s production processes.
To maximise working efficiency, both Salvador machines were specified with automatic outfeed collecting planes. A rotating inclined table collects the cut material and ejects it from the machine pre-stacked ready for the operator, while a waste trapdoor removes off-cuts from the line. This is one of the many outfeed options available from Salvador.
“The system saves time, operator energy and therefore money right from the point of installation,” says Neil Rodgers. “The difference between this and our old manual system is like night and day”.
The new machines were installed by Dalton Wadkin engineers earlier this year and are now in full production. Carl Watkins and Neil Rodgers travelled to Salvador’s Italian factory with Alex Dalton in order to assess the capability and many user-friendly operation systems incorporated in the new machines and were more than satisfied with what they saw.
“Obviously we have previous experience with the Altendorf products which are excellent but the Salvador Crosscuts have been something of a revelation. Daltons Wadkin ensured that the purchase proceeded smoothly at every level and their engineers and delivery team did the rest by providing an installation, commissioning and training service that all went according to plan. We are sure that both the Salvador Crosscuts and the additional Altendorf Saws will be of great benefit to our business.”
