TM – an unrivalled service division

A well-respected supplier, solid build quality and a competitive price tag seem to be at the top of most people’s shopping lists. But what about a top notch aftercare service and a team that is there to support you today, tomorrow and in years to come?

At TM Services & Spares – sister company to woodworking machinery supplier, TM Machinery Sales – its highly skilled engineers and service team are on hand to help when it really matters.

With specialist mobile engineers available nationwide, a dedicated and well-stocked spares department, next day delivery on parts and a technical support team on hand to diagnose any glitches remotely, it makes sense to work with a company that has built its reputation on the very best machines and after-sales service to match.

TM Services & Spares has 11 mobile service engineers, five office support staff and apprentices working from its premises in Leicester

“We offer an unrivalled service division,” explains Dave Roberts, service manager at TM Services. “From the initial sale and installation of the machine, to set-up and on-going training, repairs, maintenance and operational certification for employers looking to fund formal qualifications, our customers can rely on us to deliver time and again.”

Keen to stay one step ahead, TM’s engineers and qualified electricians regularly visit their suppliers’ factories – including Swiss-based vertical panel saw producer, Striebig – to be trained and tested on the latest technological developments and they attend specialist training courses to guarantee the best possible technical support and training to their customers.

The team is also fully equipped to service and repair other woodworking machinery including edgebanders, moulders, rip saws, panel saws, sanders and classic machinery.

“Our training and experience in the industry sets us apart from our competition,” explains Kevin Ellard, Mobile Services Technician. With diverse backgrounds in woodworking machinery and mechanical and electrical engineering, the team understands the importance of getting the job done quickly and efficiently: “For us, servicing and maintenance is not a side-line business. This is how the company began – machinery sales followed – and a solid after-care service is still at the heart of the business, 33 years on.

TM Services & Spares services and repairs a wide range of classic woodworking machinery, as well as Striebig vertical panel saws, Viet wide belt sanders and AL-KO dust extraction equipment sold by TM’s sales team

“To limit machine downtime, we carry a wide range of spares with us on each call and our Leicester-based warehouse holds a vast number of parts for new and old machines dating back 30 years. Next day delivery is also available on parts for extra peace of mind.”

Dean Van Roose, service engineer adds: “We like to think of our customers as extended family. We pride ourselves on forging lasting relationships with our customers – getting to know the company, its production methods and techniques.

“This helps us apply preventative maintenance wherever possible and allows us to record advisories for future visits, just like a car MOT. It’s these simple things that allow us to see our customers grow from strength to strength. You couldn’t ask for better job satisfaction than that.”
