Robland woodworking machines are built by Robland N.V., in the company’s factory in Bruges, Belgium.
The company was founded in 1968 by Robert Landuyt. Its first successes were achieved by building affordable qualitative combined woodworking machines, a large part of which are still in use today.
Robert’s slogan was: “What we do ourselves, is done better”. With this philosophy, he provided the complete production of the new machinery, and initiated his success in Belgium.
Today, roughly 4000 machines are produced every year, which are mostly destined for exportation. Robland is known as a major producer of woodworking machines and exports 85% of its production worldwide to more than 100 countries.
The Robland factory has a surface area of 20,000m². Here, parts of the machinery are produced using resources obtained from local suppliers. Due to Robland’s own production capabilities, the company has a unique position in the market.
For over 54 years, an enthusiastic team has been working daily on the future of the company and that of its customers. While Robland is a key international player, its personal contacts remain incredibly important to the business.
Robland never sells directly to end-consumers and, as such, its target audience is reached via dealers and importers. The company has good relations with many of its importers and dealers and has been collaborating with most of them for over 30 years. Robland even provides training for its distributors.
The company keeps the original mission – to offer products with the best quality/price ratio on the market – at the heart of all it does. This philosophy can be found in its exceptional design, production, sales, and customer support. Approximately 5% of the company’s budget is invested in developing new products and updating the existing program. Continuous improvement of production and quality leads to good products, built in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, which then achieves exacting customer requirements.
