On Monday 30 June, Unilin Panels earned yet another accolade at the 2025 Muuuz International Awards (MIAW). The twelve new Master Oak and Supermat decors launched earlier this year won convincingly in the category “Layout, materials and coverings”, a well-deserved recognition for a collection that stands out in terms of appeal, sustainability and technical ingenuity.
With six new Master Oak shades and six fresh Supermat colours, Unilin Panels builds on the success of two premium finishes in its range. The result? Even more combinations within a collection that was designed from the outset to mix and match.
The warm, realistic wood look of Master Oak contrasts beautifully with the soft, matt finish of Supermat. Together, they create a harmonious whole that’s spot-on in both atmosphere and finish. For interior professionals, that means less puzzling and more designing: all new decors blend seamlessly with each other and with the original collection.
Technology that makes a difference
The prestigious Muuuz award highlights the innovative nature of Master Oak and Supermat. What makes Master Oak unique is that it combines the authentic look and feel of oak with the durability of melamine and HPL. Master Oak looks and feels astonishingly lifelike thanks to the patented Timber Touch Technology, which has 20 times more depth than standard wood grain decors. On top of this, the finish is not only UV-stable and maintenance-friendly but Master Oak is also more resistant to scratches and stains than real wood.
Supermat, on the other hand, stands out through its ultra-matt, silky-smooth finish. The anti-fingerprint coating ensures surfaces always look immaculate, even with frequent use. What’s more, all Supermat and Master Oak panels are made using 100% recovered wood. This is wood that has no further use for others and is therefore saved from incineration. The melamine-faced chipboards go even further with wood that is no less than 95% recycled.
