Leading cabinet hardware provider, Titus, has extended its innovative Slidix range of high-performance soft closing solutions for sliding doors and drawers. The versatile products in the range are based on the well-proven and highly regarded Titus dampers, which offer fully programmable and controllable damping. This allows precise control over damping forces for doors from 15-120 kg, delivering smooth, reliable, silent closing at any speed without rebound.
Slidix products are available to suit a wide range of applications, including middle and end sliding doors, drawers, wardrobe doors, shower doors, and interior sliding door systems. To maximise versatility, the range includes soft closing mechanisms that provide a choice of movement options: outside-in, inside-out and both directions. All types feature compact construction, allowing them to be readily concealed and accommodated even where the available space is limited.
Available stroke lengths are 50 and 100mm, with damping forces from 2.5 to 22.5 N. Damping characteristics can be specified as flat, progressive or multistage with final release. Slidix soft closing systems provide consistent performance over an operating temperature range of -30 to +70 ºC, with the advanced design and high-quality construction of the Titus dampers ensuring that consistent and complete closing is achieved, even in extreme conditions.
To complement the soft closing mechanisms in the Slidix range, Titus offers an extensive selection of activators which engage with and drive the mechanisms. While the activators are usually fitted on the moving part of the assembly – that is, the door or drawer – with the Slidix mechanism fitted to the fixed part, this arrangement can be reversed where this better suits the application.
