Supporting this commitment, the factory is powered by a solar energy plant, ensuring that production is driven by renewable energy. For Adriadec, using clean energy is a key step toward more sustainable manufacturing.
Careful processing
From the moment the logs arrive in the yard, all operations are managed to make the most of the material and obtain the best possible product for customers. All the logs are debarked to minimise the risk of parasite contamination and then transformed into boards of various thicknesses. About half of the boards produced are meant for sale, while the rest is kept in the yard to be air-dried and then further processed into sawn dimensions or shaped components.
The sawn components are carefully cut in compliance with the dimensions or shapes required by the company’s clients. This is made possible by the expertise of the sawmill team, who skillfully optimise raw materials — transforming timber into precisely cut components ready for use in the furniture industry.
Custom-made supplies
Adriadec therefore manages all stages of the processes in the saw mill, starting from the log to the components delivered. All timber is supplied with the optimum moisture content for each client, thanks to the precision guaranteed by its software-managed kiln-drying rooms.
Moreover, as a result of Adriadec’s long-standing and consolidated collaboration with partner companies, the company can assist its customers by providing not only sawn products but also glued solid wood panels for furniture shelves, ends and table tops, or chair components fully processed, ready for assembly. These fully processed parts are increasingly becoming an important portion of the company’s supplies.
