The journey of WI International, Hospitality Projects, and Bancci

Founded in 2017 by British entrepreneur Paul Wise as part of WI International Group, Hospitality Projects has swiftly established itself as a leader in the manufacturing of bespoke luxury furniture. The company specialises in creating high-end, custom-made furniture and joinery for prestigious hotels, restaurants, retail, and residential spaces around the world, offering tailored solutions that reflect both craftsmanship and innovation.

By 2020, Hospitality Projects reached a major milestone by opening its own in-house manufacturing workshop, marking the transition from outsourcing to full creative control. The company’s growth continued in 2021, with the investment in a cutting-edge 52,000-square-foot facility. This strategic move allowed for further expansion of operations, solidifying Hospitality Projects' place as a leader in the hospitality furniture industry, providing top-tier solutions for high-end clients around the world.

By embracing end-to-end sustainability practices, WI International continues to set the standard in the bespoke furniture market, offering a comprehensive range of services for both B2B and B2C clients.

The success of Hospitality Projects

Working with top developers, architects, and project managers, Hospitality Projects has successfully delivered over 30 international projects, providing tailored solutions from design to installation.

One of the early milestones in Hospitality Projects’ trajectory was their work with prestigious clients such as Mandarin Oriental Mayfair London, Soho House Stockholm, The Dorchester Collection, and many others. These collaborations marked the company's entry into high-profile luxury residential and hospitality projects.

The partnership with Mandarin Oriental Mayfair particularly highlighted the company's commitment to crafting furniture that aligns perfectly with the hotel’s vision of fusing timeless elegance with contemporary luxury. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant tapestry of London’s art, fashion, and cultural heritage,

The interior design firm Studio Indigo collaborated closely with Hospitality Projects, resulting in the production of over 3,500 bespoke items for the hotel's 50 suites, luxury penthouses, and over 30 apartments. Each handcrafted piece was meticulously designed to enhance the luxurious and serene atmosphere for which Mandarin Oriental is renowned. In addition, gold and cream tones were selected to infuse a sense of refined opulence throughout, with high-end marbles, ornate woods, and sumptuous fabrics coming together to elevate the guest experience.

Additionally, Hospitality Projects worked alongside Tokyo-based design agency Curiosity to create meticulously crafted furnishings for all public spaces. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair stands as a work of art, with every piece of furniture—featuring natural timber finishes and elegant curves—handcrafted to perfection.

Currently, work is ongoing on the hotel’s Rooftop Bar, an exciting new venture with a completely different concept that promises to push the boundaries of urban luxury design in one of London's most iconic locations.

This project underscores the ability of Hospitality Projects to deliver tailored furniture solutions that not only meet but enhance the distinct vision of clients. Every piece was handmade in England, ensuring sustainability was at the forefront of the design process, in line with Mandarin Oriental’s strong eco-conscious values.

The Soho House Stockholm Project

The Soho House Stockholm project further solidified Hospitality Projects’ reputation for creating immersive, luxurious spaces that honour both tradition and modernity. Set in a 19th Century church, the design was crafted to enhance the church’s historic architecture, skilfully blending old and new elements.

Collaborating with renowned architects and interior designers, the team delivered custom-made solutions that were not only visually striking but also sustainable and functional. Over 200 bespoke furniture pieces—including banquette sofas, chairs, dining tables, and stools—were meticulously designed to complement the church’s architecture while fostering an intimate and relaxing ambiance. Premium materials, including Verde Luna marble and dark burled oak, were carefully selected to achieve a timeless, elegant, and cosy atmosphere

The Birth of Bancci: Redefining Simplified Luxury

Building on the momentum of Hospitality Projects, WI International ventured into a new domain with the launch of Bancci, a luxury furniture brand that redefines the essence of Simplified Luxury

Founded by Paul Wise and Creative Director Steven Blaess, Bancci draws inspiration from the natural world, with a focus on natural materials and textures that transition seamlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces. The collection embodies Simplified Luxury, emphasising harmony, balance, and purpose. Each piece is crafted to reflect the interconnectedness found in nature, where the soft curves of the designs echo the timeless grace of the environment.

Proudly made in England, every piece is produced with an unwavering dedication to excellence, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern sustainability practices. Bancci’s collection—which includes high-quality chairs, sofas, and tables—stands out for its elegant yet minimalist approach.

The collection has already been featured in prestigious locations like Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, where bespoke chairs and tables are showcased in the residential suites and private penthouses, setting a new standard for urban luxury.

Continuing the Legacy

WI International, through both Hospitality Projects and Bancci, continues to push the boundaries of luxury furniture design. With a growing portfolio of prestigious projects, including villas in the Bahamas and châteaux in the South of France, the company is poised for even greater success. The focus on creating spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful, combined with a commitment to sustainability, ensures that WI International remains at the forefront of the industry.
