The new “evocut 350i” is one such solution, designed by SCM to provide the performance of a circular saw in a small footprint, with a high level of safety guaranteed by the presser that protects the operator from the blade during the processing.
The saw blade unit combines compactness and precision, enabling the cutting of panels and solid wood with a tilt of up to 46°. This is achieved through a few simple adjustments, ensuring excellent machining quality.
The mobile control panel is equipped with the ‘eye-S’ console, which, thanks to its articulated support arm, can be positioned to ensure optimal operator comfort during programming. The electronic control system enables easy and intuitive machine setup, combining a 15” colour touch-screen display with the Maestro Active user interface.
The machine is equipped with a telescopic squaring fence, extensible up to 2500 mm (with 3200 mm available as an option), featuring three stops and a metric scale tilted towards the operator. The front and rear worktables provide solid support and correct positioning of the workpieces.
The front worktables consist of a 600 x 1350 mm fixed table and one or more 400 x 1350 mm mobile tables, handled by slideways with recirculating ball screws for maximum stability and smoothness.
The rear worktable, with a 2000 mm width, is made of two powered stops that can be positioned from 0 to 1300 mm from the cutting line. Their movement is managed by the electronic control, for quick and accurate positioning of the panels to be processed. The solid construction of the machine base and presser guarantees reliability and sturdiness, delivering superior finishing quality on the executed workpieces.
Moreover, the dust extraction system minimises pressure losses and ensures optimal cleaning, even when machining plastic materials. Upon request, the machine can be equipped with different options to further improve its performance and functionality.
“nova si 4” and “minimax si 4” circular saws – the cutting-edge choice for advanced joinery
Representing the historical “nova” range and the top-performing segment of the “minimax” range, the new “nova si 4” and “minimax si 4” models come up as the most versatile circular saws in their category.
These machines feature a new, highly reliable sliding carriage, guaranteed for 10 years, designed to enhance performance and customisation. Its closed reticular geometry provides top rigidity and minimal flexing. The sliding system on hardened steel guides uses an exclusive method of mechanical fixing, delivering a smooth operating movement.
The saw blade unit has a solid, sturdy structure, enabling an accurate cut. Its closed-loop structure eliminates vibration and guarantees the perfect alignment of the blades, even during tilted and difficult cuts.
On the “nova si 4” model, the handwheels on the machine front, for saw blade unit moving, are easy to operate. Every minimum hand-wheel movement corresponds to an exact blade adjustment.
The dedicated gear box (SCM solution), fully protected from the dust, ensures a smooth and direct transmission, making everyday work more comfortable. For optimal ergonomics and efficiency, on both “nova si 4” and “minimax si 4” machines, the movement system can be electric or electronically programmed by the “Ready” control system. Featuring a 4” LCD display, this system enables the automatic management of the main settings, ensuring simple and effective programming.
The “Nova” squaring frame, now also available as an option for the “minimax si 4” model, facilitates panel loading, while its mobile cross beams offer optimal support even for smaller panels. Moreover, depending on customers’ demands, different squaring frame devices are available, including the squaring frame with “CompeX” device and the new squaring frame with telescopic “Quick Lock” fence, made of two reversible stops with lens and fitted with simultaneous locking/unlocking for quick set-up changes in just a few seconds.
