SCM to showcase integrated manufacturing at Xylexpo

Italian group returns with integrated technologies, software and digital services spanning the full production process. SCM will use Xylexpo 2026 to underline its focus on connected, integrated manufacturing.

Returning to Fieramilano Rho from 9-12th June (Hall 14), the group will present machinery, software and digital services designed to support the full production process, with performance gains driven by system integration.

New launch: accord 500 edge

The centrepiece is the accord 500 edge, a CNC machining centre combining routing and edgebanding in a single platform.

Aimed at medium- to large-scale operations, the machine targets applications including contract furniture, bedrooms, marine interiors and caravans, and is suited to just-in-time production where multiple processes are consolidated.

Its H80C “Compact” edgebanding unit enables automatic changeover of tools, glues, edges and pressure elements for fast, reliable switching. Independent operating units support productivity in compact spaces, while integrated extraction maintains clean operation.

The machine is equipped with SCM’s Maestro software suite, including the Maestro active operator interface and Maestro lab CAD/CAM programming software, alongside Maestro edge for managing the full panel edgebanding process.

Software and digital integration

SCM will also highlight its shift towards data-driven production systems.

At the core is WinMES, developed with Tecnest, which processes real-time data to optimise workflows and improve decision-making at factory level.

Supporting technologies include Smart Spindle for predictive maintenance and an IoT platform enabling more efficient and sustainable production, alongside cybersecurity solutions to protect data and infrastructure.

Updates to the Maestro 3D module for nesting machining centres allow machining operations to be generated with a single click. Combined with an enhanced nesting optimisation algorithm, this enables 3D cabinet files to be imported without pre-programming, reducing programming time and material waste.

Broader production offering

The stand will also feature technologies for advanced joinery, including the “blade off” safety system for circular saws, using detection and rapid blade retraction to improve operator safety.

Visitors can explore SCM’s wider portfolio across furniture production, windows and doors, timber construction and surface treatment, alongside integrated automation and robotics from Tecno Logica for high-output, flexible manufacturing.

The technologies on show reflect a broader shift towards integrated, automated and data-led production, with SCM positioning itself as a partner in delivering more connected and adaptable manufacturing environments.
