New range of SCM sliding table panel saws

The SCM Group's new range of L’Invincible sliding table panel saws can be customised to each customers’ exact requirements and include a number of programming and electronic features.

Consisting of models SI 3, SI 5 and SI 7, these panel saws have a very high cutting quality due to the structure of the sliding table with special ground-arch steel guides (an SCM patented solution). Maximum fluidity of movement is due to the telescopic swinging arm made of a large dimensioned extrusion and a linear guide running on recirculating ball bearings.

Torsional rigidity and a total abscence of vibration using the closed loop structure of the saw carriage unit ensures the perfect alignment of the scoring saw blade and the main saw blade.

Easy Touch (SI 7) and Easy electronic controls are the operating advantage for easy assistance and with integrated and fast control of all dedicated functions. These features translate into immediate improvements in productivity and guarantees the capability of the full potential of the machine.

Easy Touch gives the SI 7 operator an advantage from day one, especially the satisfaction of fast and easy-to-use control of all machine functions with the 12in large flat touch-screen colour display. The system guides the operator every step of the way offering suggestions that avoid the operator making any mistakes. Information windows instruct the operator as to what to do on the next operation ensuring the operator works in complete safety.

Easy, as the name implies, provides the SI 5 and SI 3 operator with easy and maximum reliability due to the function pushbuttons and is easy to use with the electronic control of up to five axes with the 7in LCD display, 16:9 format and the integrated and fast control of all dedicated functions. These features translate into immediate improvements in productivity and guarantees the capability of the full potential of the machine.

The large display suggests to the operator information for the correct use of any cutting configuration. In particular it displays in real time – an SCM patent – the correct position of the stop on the basis of the known measurements of the workpiece.

An independent scoring saw is standard, as is electronic adjustment of the scoring saw blade. The length of the saw carriage is 3200mm with 3800mm as an option. A powered rip fence on a linear guide is included, as are start and stop buttons integrated in the carriage.
