New one-handed cordless reciprocating saw from Festool

With the ERSC 18, Festool is launching a one-handed cordless reciprocating saw that combines robustness with an exceptionally compact design. It’s quick to hand, safe to use and ready for powerful cuts in a wide variety of materials. The combination of sophisticated engineering, ergonomic design and Festool system logic makes it a versatile tool for professional use.

The development focused on straightforward handling for fast cuts. The balanced design allows for intuitive guidance even in tight, awkward spaces. An integrated LED light ensures a clear view of the cutting area, whilst the infinitely variable throttle switch allows for precise control. The ERSC 18 demonstrates its strength above all in its versatility: With the right Festool saw blades, it handles wood, metal, abrasive materials and even insulation materials with ease. A saw blade that can be rotated through 180 degrees enables close-to-the-cut work on walls, floors and ceilings. Flexible saw blades further expand the range of applications. The tool-free extraction device supports low-dust working.

The robust construction and the EC-TEC motor ensure reliable performance in the tough conditions of everyday construction sites. A scaffolding hook allows for secure hanging, whilst the start lock prevents accidental start-up. Fully compatible with the Festool 18-volt system, the saw benefits from a long battery life and the Bluetooth function for automatic dust extractor activation.

Weighing just 1.9 kg, with a stroke length of 25.4 mm and up to 3,000 strokes per minute, the ERSC 18 offers mobility and power in a compact tool, developed for professional requirements where reliability and efficiency are paramount. Available from September 2026 in specialist retailers.
