LD Seating expands its modular seating with two new systems

As the role of shared spaces continues to evolve, modular seating has become an increasingly important part of contemporary interiors. Responding to this shift, LD Seating introduces two modular seating systems, both manufactured at the company's production facility in Boskovice.

Pod expands the possibilities of modular seating

Designed by Dorigo Design, the Pod modular seating system features fully upholstered pouffes, available with or without a low backrest. Individual modules work just as naturally on their own as they do connected into dynamic seating arrangements, making it easy to create configurations that range from compact relaxation corners to expansive lounge areas. A broad selection of upholstery fabrics and metal base finishes allows designers to create anything from understated tone-on-tone compositions to bold contrasting combinations. An optional steel side table, colour-matched to the chosen base finish, further extends the system's versatility. Sustainability was central to the collection's development. The moulded rigid polyurethane construction is designed with separable material layers, allowing the different materials to be easily sorted for recycling at the end of the product's lifespan.

Nido Bench brings flexibility to high-traffic interiors

Developed in collaboration with Orlandini Design, Nido Bench expands the Nido modular seating family with a system designed for public interiors. Single-, double- and triple-seat benches can be connected using upholstered linking elements to create everything from simple linear arrangements to branching and curved configurations, making it easy to tailor the layout to the space and the people using it. Low backrests, armrests, tables and integrated power outlets further extend the system's flexibility.Nido Bench was designed with a strong focus on comfort and accessibility.

A 14 cm thick seat made from injected polyurethane foam provides lasting comfort, while the higher structure and shallower seat depth make sitting down and standing up easier. These features make Nido Bench particularly well suited to waiting areas, healthcare facilities, senior living environments and other public interiors where comfort and ease of use matter throughout the day. For even greater accessibility, the benches can also be fitted with extended legs, increasing the seat height by a further 10 cm. Like Pod, Nido Bench is manufactured entirely at LD Seating's production facility in Boskovice, giving the company complete control over quality throughout production. The collection also meets Crib 5 certification, offering high resistance to ignition for commercial, hospitality and healthcare projects.

Create your seating configurations in minutes

Alongside the launch of Pod and Nido Bench, LD Seating has also introduced a new version of its online configurator for modular seating. Designed to make planning faster and more intuitive, the upgraded configurator gives users more ways to create and visualise seating configurations of any scale. More information is available on the LD Seating website.
