Lacquers and stains for perfect surfaces

Hesse Lignal develops and produces sustainable and functional lacquers and stains for innovative interior surfaces and offers its customers groundbreaking consulting and lacquering services.

The company is convinced that the world becomes a better place to live in when we turn rooms and objects into an impressive experience by refining surfaces. For Hesse Lignal, lacquers and stains are not just technical products – they complete surfaces and touch the viewer emotionally.

"Our Competence is the basis of our actions and the foundation of our success," says Hesse Lignal. "We want to maintain and strengthen it in order to continue to inspire with quality and service. As a family business, we stand for reliability, a convincing product range, high flexibility and service readiness. Professional and methodical competence is just as important to us as social competence, both internally and externally.

"We inspire each other in our work; we bring strengths together in the team and are also open to other personalities and cultures. For us, competence also means remaining dynamic, always thinking one step ahead, constantly expanding our knowledge and passing it on within the company. This includes remaining critical, questioning things, thinking laterally and remaining open to new ideas. We have to earn our competence anew every day.

"What sort of world do we want to leave to subsequent generations? As a family-run company with intergenerational history, we feel compelled to deal with this question right now. The decisions that we make don’t just have a direct impact on our balance sheet, our employees and our customers, but ultimately also on the future of our children and grandchildren.

"They are the adults of tomorrow, and our actions today lay the foundations for their future quality of life. We therefore see it as our duty to make a contribution to the environment and climate protection by acting in a way that is resourceconserving and sustainable.

"So we have made a far-reaching decision: by the end of 2023 we will have used sustainable alternatives to replace all nitrocellulose lacquers, solvent-based stains and solvent-based, acid-hardening lacquers in our product range. By 2030, we want to replace all solvent-based products in our product range with sustainable alternatives and will be relying on regenerative raw materials.

"Our goals are to reduce the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and to achieve maximum resource conservation. We are aware that this is a major step, which will require a high level of commitment. But we are also convinced that this action is necessary to preserve a consummate world for our grandchildren and to meet the requirements of future generations of customers."
