At this year’s Ligna and interzum events, Jowat will demonstrate how modern adhesives can contribute to sustainable manufacturing processes and products.
Aligned with the interzum motto “Rethinking Resources: Circular and Biobased Solutions” and LIGNA’s theme of “Sustainable Production,” Jowat will present its Green Adhesives as the complete package for sustainable bonding with four main focuses: renewable raw materials, resource efficiency, processor safety and consumer safety.
New – biobased lamination glue and PUR hot melt adhesives
One key highlight will be the new lamination glue Jowacoll® GROW 125.00, which is 30% biobased (in accordance with ISO 16620-4) and easy to process. This dispersion adhesive offers an economical solution for furniture subsuppliers aiming to meet ambitious renewable raw material targets.
In addition, Jowat will also promote the use of recycled materials and supplies adhesives with mass-balanced raw materials due to its ISCC PLUS certification. In the mass balance approach, renewable feedstocks are incorporated upstream in the manufacturing chain, and their proportion in the finished adhesive is determined through mathematical calculation. This process verifiably promotes the use of renewable resources without changing the technical characteristics of the adhesives.
Since the restrictions on the use of diisocyanates in the EU came into effect in August 2023, many processors of PUR hot melt adhesives have chosen alternative solutions that are not classified as hazardous, thereby improving occupational safety. Jowatherm® PUR MR adhesives demonstrate how high performance can go hand in glove with modern safety standards and cost efficiency.
Jowatherm® PUR MR 609.92 and Jowatherm® PUR 609.60 are two powerful additions to Jowat’s successful portfolio for flat lamination processes, setting new benchmarks for performance and efficiency.
High-quality edgebanding
Jowatherm® PUR 608.00, the pioneering unfilled edgebanding adhesive based on PUR has set the standard for resource efficiency and quality in edgebanding for almost a decade. The low processing temperature of just over 100°C, very high yield and wide range of applications have made this transparent adhesive a preferred all-rounder that facilitates bonding of the highest quality with a zero joint appearance.
Jowatherm® PUR 608.10 is the latest addition to the series, providing an edgebanding adhesive for difficult conditions.
