In a dynamic move set to revolutionise the door and frame manufacturing industry, JJ Smith, in collaboration with Neomec, has unveiled a cutting-edge range of handling and finishing machinery specifically tailored to door production. These bespoke solutions are designed to streamline operations and significantly reduce manual labour, minimising downtime and operator injuries through automated lifting, stacking, spraying, loading and unloading of large panels.

Innovative edgebander return system

Among the standout innovations is the Neomec Trip – an automatic edgebander return system compatible with all edgebanders. This highly efficient system requires just a single operator and boasts an impressive cross transfer mechanism capable of processing two or three doors simultaneously, each weighing up to 100kg. This not only speeds up production but reduces the physical strain on operators.

Vacuum lifting and panel stacking

Designed to automatically handle and stack panels with versatile grippers and a two-axis control system, The Neomec Blitz ensures smooth and safe movement of door panels. It features a belt transfer system, optical barrier-equipped fences and a conveniently placed electrical panel, making this machine simple and safe to operate and a vital component in any door production line.

Flawless finishes with the Linea automated spraying system

Automatic unloading system

The Neomec Climber painting system automatically collects linear lengths such as profile skirting, architrave and frame material, stacking them onto racks for optimal drying. Configurable arm setup allows for lengthwise multiple-row collection, catering to a diverse range of production needs. This automated system not only saves space but also eliminates the need for operators to handle wet, paint-covered parts.

Versatile panel overturner

Another notable addition is the Neomec Upset – an automatic panel overturner designed to handle large door panels and frames without any operator effort. Its rotating structure, comprising two parallel rings and overlapping roller conveyors, integrates seamlessly into existing conveyor systems. This machine not only overturns panels but can also function as a transfer system, adding a layer of versatility to production lines.

Flawless finishes with automated spraying

The Neomec Linea – an automatic painting system – brings precision and excellence to the finishing process.

Equipped with a built-in belt conveyor, it expertly applies paints, stains and liquid products to wooden, metal or plastic sections. The system intercepts incoming profiles automatically, optimising paint application with precise over-spray control, reducing manual labour, minimising waste and delivering flawless finishes consistently.

JJ Smith and Neomec’s innovative machinery promises to transform door manufacturing by enhancing productivity, safety and product quality.
