IDS has added the Avonite Foundations range of acrylic solid surface to its portfolio, offering a higher level of creative and fabrication freedom for domestic, commercial, leisure and retail interiors being available now in choices of 3, 6, 9 and a new 12mm thickness in sheet size 3660 x 760mm.
The choice of veneer thicknesses across each of the 21 new designs increases its flexibility for use on both horizontal and vertical applications. The 3mm veneer offers the key benefit of cost engineering without having to compromise on looks or performance.
The most popular colour 8016 White is available in 3, 6, 9 and 12mm thicknesses for optimum flexibility. There are a further eight designs featuring up to 16% recycled content which are certified by the international organisation Scientific Certified Systems.
Says Paul Neal, product manager: “Solid surface veneers have become more widely accepted and used in the last three to four years. Value engineering is much more mainstream now as a concept for the designer, manufacturer and end customer.
“Retail stores are working very hard in the current climate to get the customer through the door and solid surface veneer allows them to upscale the look of the interior for a minimal amount of money, while also being assured of performance and longevity.”
A brand new brochure is available and there is a free next day sample service. Brochures, comprehensive technical information and certification are easily downloaded from the company’s website where there is also full specification support.
Avonite solid surface veneer is exclusively distributed by IDS nationwide from its 12 branches offering ex-stock availability for projects.
