For today’s busy installers and manufacturers, saving time and costs on-site is essential to running a successful business. Any tool that can achieve both, while also assuring precision and robustness in production, ticks too many boxes to be ignored.
Described as ‘the ideal problem solver on any project’, the UC 16/64, a new universal connector from Häfele, is designed to transform the way installers and manufacturers operate.
Manufactured at Häfele’s production facility in Berlin, the UC 16/64 is a polycarbonate connection device which mixes snap-in studs and clips with a latching nose and screw holes to achieve multiple applications with just one device.
Suitable for corner, surface and upright connections, as well as offset, angled and double joints, the UC 16/64 also acts as an assembly aid, cable guide, spacer and floor guide.
“The UC 16/64 is the device every installer has been waiting for,” says Justin Crofts, Category Manager - Furniture Construction at Häfele UK. “Its design ensures extremely durable connections across countless applications, minimising the number of different devices that need to be used in projects.
“By standardising multiple installation techniques, it helps get jobs done faster, more efficiently and is a true problem solver in just one compact piece of kit.”
The UC 16/64 was launched for the first time earlier this year at the InstallerSHOW and received a resounding response from attendees.
“Feedback from those who saw our demonstrations of the UC 16/64 was that it would make the process of buying parts for projects much easier – because this one piece of equipment can take the place of multiple fittings – and that it’ll make a huge impact on site too, which is exactly what we wanted to achieve when designing the connector,” adds Justin.
“Our priority is to constantly explore the challenges our customers are facing and find solutions to them. The UC 16/64 is an example of the innovation that runs throughout Häfele, and we look forward to seeing how it goes on to transform the lives of installers and manufacturers the world over.”
