Early in October, AXYZ officially launched its latest CNC machine, the Woodworker, an the all-in-one CNC router specifically designed, as the name might suggest, for accurate and efficient woodworking and furniture production.
The new Woodworker CNC router is billed as an all-in-one CNC solution that’s purpose-built for efficient high volume production featuring high power servo motors with a direct drive system enabling precise and accurate machining.
The machine is primed to be equipped with various woodworking tools and standard features allow the machine to be equipped with drill banks, label printers, rotary axis, aggregates, vacuum pods, drills and spindles. The machine is efficient, quiet and clean in operation.
To accommodate the increased acceleration rates, traversing speeds and heavier loads, Woodworker incorporates higher grade components including performance series helical racks driven by servo motors with absolute encoders and a robust stress-relieved gantry
A proven standard performance enhancement is the network-enabled AXYZ A2MC controller offers an easy-to-use user interface which has been installed on over 10,000 machines worldwide.
A standard vacuum deck is configured with every machine designed to work in high pressure vacuum hold down applications. The zones are split into sections which enables you to focus the force of the vacuum system in a specific area
The specific Woodworker on had features such as a label printer, making it super easy to identify parts using automated tags for final assembly, and a well executed dust collection system comprising of an efficient dust boot, a compact high flow manifold and an integrated hose management system made short order of collecting large chips as well as fine dust.
In addition to the Woodworker launch and other AXYZ routers for our industry, partner companies Hexagon and Schmalz were also in attendance.
With friendly advice and regular demonstrations throughout the day, plus a fantastic lunch, the event was well organised and a good way to be better informed about AXYZ and it s products.
In discussion with AXYZ MD, Chris Arend during the event, he felt the it was an important platform for the company to be able to spend time with customers and was also the ideal launchpad for the new Woodworker machine as well as providing the opportunity to highlight the company’s values and customer-oriented ethos.
With the official UK launch of the Woodworker machine, AXYZ have given themselves an significant new CNC router option for creative and ambitious furniture manufacturers and woodworkers across the UK.
