Starbank Panel Products Limited, a leading UK fabricator of laminates, panels, and fire doors, has recently invested £1.5m to enhance production. This includes acquiring two high-performance edgebanding machines from HOMAG.
The new machinery completes Starbank’s ZEROedge® service, providing seamless edgebanding for both shaped and straight panel edges. Additionally, the Shield® Fire Door department benefits from a new dedicated machine for solid timber lippings.

The S-800 automated cell offers three application systems with laser activation for ZEROedge® and two PUR adhesive options. It is barcode-driven and includes a robotic return system, revolutionising edgebanding efficiency and quality. It handles ABS, PP, acrylic, and veneer edging with superior finishing and grooving capabilities. The cutting-edge laser technology ensures flawless, durable & hygienic edges, perfect for high-end joinery in office, residential, and healthcare sectors.
Complementing the S-800 is the S-500, designed for solid timber lippings for fire doors and panels up to 60mm. It features upgraded handling and PUR slot nozzle application, ensuring robust and resilient edge bonding.
