In line with this vision, the new accord 400 and accord 500edge models were presented during SCM’s Open House 2026, just one year after the launch of the accord 500–600 CNC range.
Accord 400 is the new generation CNC machining centre for drilling and routing, developed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. Its high versatility makes it possible to increase productivity and efficiency across all application areas – from the production of furniture to doors, windows and stairs, guaranteeing high performance and quality.
The double motorised ‘gantry’ structure allows for high movement speeds and reduced machining cycle, ensuring top-quality finishing.
The machine design, with compact operating units and integrated tool changers, is engineered to minimise the machine’s footprint while complying with the highest safety standards on the market.
This CNC machining centre is equipped with the new ‘flexmatic pro” bar worktable with automatic positioning of suction cups and clamps via a “Direct Drive” system. Thanks to SCM’s experience, the worktable is available in pre-set configurations depending on the application, to provide the solution that best suits the customer’s needs.
The Maestro lab software suite allows the operator to program and use the machine quickly and easily, while the new Maestro 3D module function allows pockets and channels to be recognised in a single click, saving time during the programming phase.
Accord 500edge is the new all-round CNC machining centre and stands out from its sisters thanks to its edge banding technology. Top performance is guaranteed, meeting the needs of all medium and large-sized companies with a focus on specific sectors such as contract furniture, bedrooms, boats and caravans.
Accord 500edge has also been designed to suit the requirements of customers who work on a ‘just in time’ basis, as this machine combines all the functions of a factory in a single product.
The H80C ‘Compact’ edge banding unit, equipped with various tool changers for tools, glues, edges and pressing elements, allows operations to be carried out with various types of edges and glues, as well as enabling automatic switching between different types of application in a precise and reliable manner.
Independent movements distinguish the operating units, allowing high levels of productivity in small spaces, maximising the available working areas.
The machine stands out for its excellent cleanliness; all the chip and dust extraction devices on the different operating units are designed to achieve maximum extraction efficiency in all conditions of use.
Like its sisters, the accord 500edge is equipped with an exclusive software suite, consisting of the Maestro active operator interface and Maestro lab CAD/CAM, designed and supplied by SCM, which makes edgebanding simple and intuitive.
