Xylexpo postponed until 2022

Xylexpo, Italy's biennial exhibition for woodworking technology and metrials, has been delayed again until 2022.

Having already rescheduled the event from its traditional May slot to November this year, Acimall, the owner of the woodworking technology association, has concluded that it can longer successfully hold an event this year given the current situation.

An official letter to all exhibitors on 6th July from Acimall President Lorenzo Primultini stated: "Postponing the exhibition to November 2020 – Primultini's letter states – seemed the best possible solution, but the efforts of our organisation in recent months and the constant monitoring of all the conditions required to offer a successful exhibition have clearly shown that the situation in November will not be favorable, yet.

"With its global scope and more than one out of three exhibitors and visitors coming from abroad, Xylexpo has an international soul and vocation that would be seriously jeopardised by sanitary and economic conditions that are still unsolved in many world regions”.

So, the date of the next Xylexpo is postponed to 2022 - the exhibition team is already working to design a Xylexpo event that takes into account new ideas and recent changes to create a new and more modern digital-oriented showcase, deploying a strategy that will be supported with proposals and initiatives in the coming months.
