Wren Kitchens has announced the closure of all 15 of its US stores, reassuring customers that the decision will not affect its UK operations.
The company entered the American market in 2020, opening its first showroom before expanding to a total of 15 locations over the following years. In a statement confirming the closures, Wren said it had taken the “difficult” decision to withdraw from the US, adding that the move would allow it to refocus investment on its core UK business.
Chief executive, Mark Pullan, said the decision had been made “reluctantly”, thanking US colleagues and customers for their support while signalling a renewed emphasis on growth in Britain following a period of encouraging market performance.
Despite its retreat from the US, Wren’s UK operation remains extensive. The company operates more than 100 showrooms nationwide and has indicated that further openings and expansion plans are in development as it concentrates on strengthening its domestic presence.
