Weinig set to impress at March trade fairs

Confirming this position, Weinig will set out to prove at the Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau/Frontalein trade fairs in Nuremberg, Germany, where the company will be exhibiting in Hall 9, stand 304.

Taking place between 26-29th March, the shows will provide the perfect platform to display the company’s latest products and developments. Weinig’s innovations in the area of controls and software solutions for networked processes are, for example, a breath of fresh air.

The new, high-performance Moulder Master software represents a milestone in shaping the perfectly-organised working environment. Moulder Master links all process stages upstream of production from the idea to the profile. The software unleashes its full potential when combined with PowerCom controls and the new OptiControl Digital, camera-based system, which will also be unveiled in Nuremberg.

Weinig will also demonstrate its all-round expertise in planing and profiling, ranging from the tool and complete work preparation to profitable workpiece processing at up to 12,000 rpm. Another significant step forward is the introduction of the PowerCom Plus controls in window production. Combined with the proven and patented PowerLock tool, the result is a significant saving in setup time.

Weinig will be demonstrating this in Nuremberg using the Powermat 1200 Window as an example. The big brother of the Powermat 600 is ideal for use with large requirements in bead production and glazing bead separation while also offering the potential for networked window production in conjunction with the Weinig CNC center Conturex and the OptiCut optimizing cross-cut saw.

Weinig will also present a new software solution in the area of pre-cutting. OptiPal automatically creates cutting lists for the production of crates and pallets. The data is also automatically transferred to the OptiCut saw and processed. OptiPal is optionally available with integrated pre-optimization. This uses the interfaces generated by OptiPal to calculate the optimal raw timber lengths while taking account of items in stock.

The unprocessed length and number of boards required for the next cutting pattern is displayed to the operator on the OptiCom Direct.

The fully-automated Weinig CNC center Conturex has enjoyed huge popularity with window and furniture manufacturers since its market launch. This is primarily due to the centerpiece of each Conturex, the unique, patented clamping table technology that enables careful complete processing of the workpiece in a single clamping operation.

Now Weinig has expanded the range yet again with the new 125 Vario. The machine is aimed at window manufacturers with the promise of high productivity combined with maximum cost-effectiveness. Minimized tool changing times and process optimization increase performance by up to 20%.

A new feature is double part processing of parts up to 1,600mm in length with tear-free joint technology, even with longitudinal grooves. The flexible design makes the 125 Vario attractive for both manufacturers of window systems and house doors, as well as operators in the area of transom/mullion systems, conservatories, internal doors and a range of other applications.

In the form of the new ProfiShape, Weinig has also recently entered the double-end machine market. The machine was first seen as a prototype at Ligna 2013 and has made an immediate impression thanks to its flexibility. Noteworthy features include a comprehensive standard package and a variety of options. The Profishape can process timber lengths of up to 6,000 mm at a maximum feed speed of 80 m/min and meets the highest quality standards in terms of surface finish and precision.

However, Weinig will not just be presenting itself as a leading technology provider in Nuremberg. The service sector is increasingly gaining in significance. Besides the Weinig Concept, which is operational in project business, the world market leader will also use the Holz-Handwerk / Fensterbau Frontale combined trade fair to show its strengths in Service, Financing, Education/Training and Used Machines. In times of increasingly complex challenges, these enable Weinig to offer the customer optimal support across the production process and all related issues.
