Following on from the success of its previous installations of the P50 auto crosscut saw, VWM has just installed their 30th machine to date at bespoke Accrington-based office furniture manufacturer Timack NW.
After researching the crosscut market for a number of months, Timack NW ultimately decided to order a Dominion P50 automatic crosscut from VWM Ltd, based nearby to Timack in Colne, Lancashire.
Timack is a very high quality solid office furniture manufacturer operating out of a 60,000 sq ft modern production unit. The company required a machine for cutting to length numerous softwood and Beech components – so decided it was time to replace the old manual machine with a new, automatic machine capable of cutting multiple components at a time, thus saving time, and most importantly, money.
“The P50 machine has been an excellent for us,” explains VWM’s Jason Varey, “it’s been a truly reliable machine and nearly all of the customers who have purchased a machine are still using the same one today and since their introduction in 2006. Also, we have only ever had one machine back in part exchange!”
Typical users of the Dominion P50 crosscut saw machines are timber merchants, sawmills, joinery manufacturers, solid timber kitchen manufacturers and pallet and case makers. “The partnership we have formed with Dominion has been invaluable as they are a family-run company much like ours,” concludes Jason.
