Following on from the success of last year, The Surface Design Show (SDS) will continue its partnership with RIBA for the 2027 edition of the show.
SDS will take over London’s Business Design Centre from 2nd – 4th February 2027, promising to be a key event for architects and designers in London and beyond. Last year’s partnership saw RIBA bring its AI in Practice Summit to Surface Design Show, welcoming more than 300 architects to explore the rapidly evolving role of AI in architecture. The summit complemented the exhibition programme, creating networking opportunities and exposing attendees to the best in materials, finishes and surfaces.
For 2027, RIBA will once again bring it’s AI in Practice Summit to SDS, bringing together architects and industry leaders to explore the opportunities and challenges that AI is creating across the built environment.
This year’s attendees can look forward to:
- An exciting programme of activity, including discussion on the latest thinking on AI and its impact on architectureA programme of talks, discussions and network with peers to share examples of challenges and success stories in the implementation of AI
- Discussions on the emerging AI tools, technologies and applications.
“We are delighted to partner with RIBA again for this year’s Surface Design Show," says David Todd, Event Director at Surface Design Show. "This growing relationship reflects our commitment to delivering the best possible experience for exhibitors and attendees at the show. We look forward to seeing where it takes us next.”
SDS27 is shaping up to be the most ambitious edition yet, with the continued partnership with RIBA bringing together architects, designers and industry experts to explore the ideas, technologies and materials shaping the future of the built environment.
