During a tour of the north of England on the 21st April, Prime Minister David Cameron visited Decorative Panels Components impressive manufacturing facility.
The PM spent over twenty minutes touring the factory during which he took the opportunity of meeting with two senior operators, Laura Carter and Steve Dyson, to discuss their roles in the business.
The Prime Minister was impressed with the high productivity levels of the business and the fact that the Decorative Panels Group had continued to grow through every year of the recession.
Commenting on the visit, Decorative Panels Group MD Guy Metcalfe, said: “We were very pleased to receive the Prime Minister today and be allowed the opportunity to show him the very latest in automated, efficient British Manufacturing. As the PM said, manufacturing will play an ever increasing role in the economy as we continue to return to growth.”
