UK staircase manufacturer StairBox has relocated to premises on Gordon Banks Drive, Trentham Lakes so as to cope with its continued growth.
StairBox originally started life as AVC Classic Woodworkers founded by Andrew, Vaughn and Clive working out of a small rented workshop in Longton back in 1994. Now, with the help of Andrew’s Sons Alex and Thomas, as well as Vaughn’s son Robert, they have grown into a large player in the UK staircase market with impressive year on year growth.
StairBox has grown to supplying not only individual staircases direct to consumer, but also providing hundreds of flights for large scale projects across Great Britain.
This growth has meant that StairBox has had to move to a new facility to maintain this pace with no small help from a chambers of commerce grant. This central location, next to Britannia Stadium, provides efficient access and means that the company can purchase new machinery and create a much requested showroom.
After listening to feedback from customers, StairBox’s sister company, TA Windows, is moving into the same premises creating a one-stop shop for customers. On the company website, www.StairBox.com, the firm says it has 'pioneered new ways of giving customers more power and information' going so far as to allow customers to design their staircases online.
Director, Alex Hancock, says: “These are exciting times for StairBox and TA Windows, both for our staff and customers. This new factory allows our pace of growth to continue as well as giving us the freedom to create new products and develop into the future.”
