Screwfix colleagues raise over £200k for Screwfix Foundation

Screwfix colleagues from across the UK have raised over £200,000 for the Screwfix Foundation during the two-week SF500 challenge - a company-wide initiative promoting movement, wellbeing and charitable giving.

Whether running, walking or cycling, colleagues from across Screwfix stores, head office and customer service centre were challenged to move for 500 metres, miles or minutes. From walks around the block to treks up mountains, teams came together with enthusiasm and determination, all in support of a great cause.

With a strong focus on inclusivity and wellbeing, the SF500 challenge encouraged everyone to get involved, boosting both physical and mental health while fundraising.

The money raised will help the Screwfix Foundation improve, repair and maintain community facilities and buildings used by those in need throughout the UK.

Since launching in 2013, Screwfix colleagues and customers have raised over £15 million, enabling the Screwfix Foundation to support over 3,000 charities and not for profit organisations.

“I’m incredibly proud of the passion and teamwork shown by our colleagues throughout the SF500 challenge," says John Mewett, Screwfix CEO and Screwfix Foundation Trustee. "Their dedication has helped raise vital funds that will enable the Screwfix Foundation to continue supporting local charities and not-for-profit organisations.

"These contributions make a real difference in the communities we serve. I’d like to say a huge thank you to our colleagues and customers for their amazing efforts and donations."
