RENOLIT inspires with children's holiday programme

Over the course of two weeks, 51 children aged between 6 and 14 took part in the RENOLIT SE children's holiday programme, learning directly from the professionals at Lebenshilfe Worms. Under the motto ‘Job Safari – Discover the world of professions’, this year's programme was all about discovery, trying things out and breaking down barriers with active inclusion and a playful approach to diversity and participation.

The cooperation with Lebenshilfe Worms was a central part of the programme. In a specially designed project day, the children were introduced to the working world of the Lebenshilfe ‘Green’ division: from floristry and vegetable growing to gardening and landscaping, they were able to get involved, plant, design and be creative.

Lebenshilfe not only offered insights into a field of work, but also conveyed core values: mindfulness, social responsibility and the importance of participation.

This year, the holiday programme focused on career orientation, but in an age-appropriate, practical and fun way. The chosen theme deliberately sought to appeal to a spirit of adventure and discovery. Together with partners such as the forestry commission, ASB, the Mainz Environmental Education Centre and, of course, the RENOLIT training department, the children were able to experience a wide range of professions – from archaeology to firefighting. The focus was on active experience, participation and playful learning.

At the same time, the holiday programme is much more than just an enrichment for the children – it is a central component of RENOLIT's family-friendly concept. ‘The programme takes a huge load off us as parents during the summer holidays. Not only are our children well looked after, they come home every day full of enthusiasm,’ says one mother whose two children have already taken part several times.

Markus Blümle, General Manager Corp. People & Empowerment at RENOLIT, also sees the programme as a strategic component of the employer brand: ‘For us, family friendliness in practice means more than flexible working hours – we want to provide concrete support. Our holiday programme is a real added value for our employees with families and an investment in the next generation.’

The partners in the holiday programme also benefit from the collaboration: they reach a young target group at an early age, highlight their social importance and can convey values such as inclusion, closeness to nature and sustainability in a playful way.

With this year's holiday programme, RENOLIT has once again demonstrated how inclusion, family friendliness and future-oriented youth development can be put into practice in a practical and child-friendly way. The safari through the world of work was not only a journey through different professions, but also a journey towards greater openness, compassion and community.
