The furnishing industry’s charity and patron, The Furniture Makers’ Company, conveyed its Sustainability Award 2014 to Premiere Kitchens.
Premiere creates cost-effective kitchen and furniture solutions for residential developments, hotels, key worker accommodation, care homes, universities, schools and the Ministry of Defence.
Established more than 20 years ago, Premiere is one of the leading companies of its kind in the UK and its success is based on delivering cost-effective, design-led solutions tailored to suit its customers’ specific needs.
Two more finalists, Boss Design and Hypnos Beds, were highly commended, Boss for its people-orientated management style, and Hypnos for its responsive, customer-driven approach.
The Master Jonathan Hindle, the Master of the Company, said: “Premiere is highly deserving of this distinction as it was so apparent it had gone beyond the remit, showing long-term commitment to the future and engaging its staff and suppliers.
“Premiere has come back to us three years in a row and their standards keep on rising. All three finalists produced highly credible entries. We commend Boss and Hypnos for all the work they have done and encourage them to enter for the award next year, as well as other companies who believe they can demonstrate they meet the stringent criteria.”
David Walton said: “We are now seeing more and more companies become actively involved with sustainability. It is no longer simply about energy and the environment but also how a business focuses on clients and involves its staff, suppliers and the local community.”
