Platt’s to highlight sustainability

Looking for a sustainable way to get rid of your hardwood, MDF or chipboard waste? Platts is presenting an innovative solution at this year’s W Exhibition that will not only help customers dispose of unwanted wood waste quickly and efficiently but also save money.

Exhibiting at the show for the first time, the wood waste recycling specialist will be on hand to explain its recycling processes – turning thousands of tonnes of Class A, B and C grade waste into environmentally sustainable animal bedding – and highlighting the financial benefits its nationwide handling service can offer your business, whilst helping to maintain your legal and environmental obligations.

Caroline Thedens, managing director of Platt’s says: “We are a family-run business with over 40 years of experience in handling wood waste and as a result, we work in a wide range of industries to source the raw material we need to produce quality peoducts.

Following a recent seven figure extension and new 24/7 operating hours, we have expanded our storage capacity and we are now in a position to grow our customer base even further. We’re keen to introduce our processes to companies that work with hardwood and promote the importance of sustainability in the sector. The W Exhibition is the perfect place to do this and it gives us an opportunity to show visitors just how much money and time they could save by recycling their bi-product though us.

“We work with a number of leading extraction companies and our experience in the sector means we can create bespoke handling solutions to fit our customer’s needs. One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to recycling Class C grade waste. We’re looking forward to challenging people’s perceptions on sustainability in the woodworking sector and showing visitors just how simple we can make it for them.”
