At the general meeting in Heidelberg, four new board members were elected to the governing body of the VDMA Woodworking Machinery Association for a six-year term:
- Dr. Wolfgang Knorr (Festool GmbH, Wendlingen),
- Frederik Meyer (Homag Group AG, Schopfloch),
- Daniel Schrenk (Ledermann GmbH & Co. KG, Horb) und
- Kathleen Wemhöner (Wemhöner Surface Technologies GmbH Co. KG, Herford).
“Challenge accepted” – this was the motto under which the trade association’s member companies gathered for their biennial event. Speaking in Heidelberg, Chairman Markus Hüllmann said: “In a rapidly changing market environment, our companies are in the process of positioning themselves for the future. They are doing so very successfully. In fact, we have lost virtually no companies over the past two difficult years. I am confident that the rejuvenated board will continue to champion the interests of all manufacturers. Only by working together can we meet these massive challenges.”
The General Meeting renewed the mandates of
- Gregor Baumbusch (Michael Weinig AG, Tauberbischofsheim),
- Christian Dieffenbacher (Dieffenbacher GmbH, Eppingen) und
- Ove Lange (Anthon GmbH, Flensburg).
The other members of the Executive Board are:
- Markus Hüllmann (G. Kraft Maschinenbau GmbH, Rietberg),
- Robert Falch (Minda Industrieanlagen GmbH, Minden),
- Birgit Gros (Schiele Maschinenbau GmbH, Niederzissen),
- Jürgen Köppel (Leitz GmbH & Co. KG, Oberkochen),
- Maximilian Lehner (IMA Schelling Group, Lübbecke),
- Dr. Stefan Möhringer (Simon Möhringer GmbH & Co. KG, Wiesenthal),
- Peter Schaeidt (Baljer & Zembrod GmbH & Co. KG, Altshausen),
- Martin Scherrer (G. Siempelkamp GmbH & Co. KG, Krefeld) und
- Jürgen Schröer (Robert Bürkle GmbH, Freudenstadt).
The following members have left the committee:

- Dr. Daniel Schmitt (Homag Group AG, Schopfloch) und
- Heiner Wemhöner (Wemhöner Surface Technologies GmbH Co. KG, Herford).
