Movac’s regular fashion shows gave the company the chance to show visitors how Movac is ‘making a difference’ to the wood finish industry and why it is well positioned as a leading UK distributor of high technology finishing products.
Movac also used W14 to ‘make a difference’ to local art students by teaming up with them to create the eye-catching wooden outfits used in the fashion shows, which perfectly showcased the company’s innovative coating products.
The students from Suffolk One and Culford School had an incredible opportunity to develop their course portfolio with a live brief and their designs were seen by hundreds of people at W14.
Mark Smith, managing director of Movac Group says: “Involving the work of students at this level is hugely important, as we are bringing the next generation of designers and technicians into the actual manufacturing process. We want to make a difference – not only to our customers with our innovative products and services – but to the industry as a whole and our communities.”
Movac’s entertaining shows drew appreciative crowds each day and its videos were running throughout the day on four large flat screen TVs showing why Movac is at the forefront of coating technology.
W14 was also an opportunity to highlight Movac’s strong partnership with Sayerlack (owned by Sherwin-Williams which had just celebrated its 60th birthday. Ernest Hartley, sales director for Sherwin-Williams, came to show his support on the Sunday of the show and was delighted with Movac’s stand.
He says: “We are proud to say that we have been supplying the Sayerlack brand to the UK market with Movac for over 20 years now. I’m very proud to be here supporting Movac at W14 on this fantastic stand.
“Over the course of W14, our hardworking sales executives spoke with over 500 visitors, which far exceeded the company’s expectations. Here’s to an ever-bigger W16!
