Microvellum University (MVU) is a comprehensive training programme designed to help woodworkers maximise their usage of Microvellum’s design-to-manufacturing software platform. The courses and structure of MVU’s classroom sessions allow attendees to immerse themselves in the software in a hands-on, learn-by-doing format.
Recently, Microvellum’s UK-based team hosted a five-day training course for beginners and intermediate-level users of the software. The event commenced with a factory tour at Unitech Oxon, a bespoke kitchen cabinet manufacturer in Oxfordshire, and continued with a networking session for all attendees. The week-long educational event was led by Microvellum’s certified instructors, Martin Rowan, and Colin Bailey, along with account manager, Daniel Mesecke.
Attendees of MVU have shared their thoughts on the experience, stating, “It can be tough to set aside time for training. I am always busy; projects are constantly in progress, and interruptions are too frequent to focus on learning something new at work. It was nice to get away and focus on learning with the group at MVU.”
“I’d recommend MVU to anyone, from beginners to intermediate to experts. Everyone had different ways of using the software and different abilities. Being at the University is the only way you’re going to get all that knowledge in one room and be able to learn something new.”
Education is a core element of Microvellum’s mission, aiming to assist woodworkers in streamlining and standardising their processes so they can confidently scale their businesses. Recently, Microvellum University classroom training courses were held in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States, all with the same goal: to empower individuals to reach their full potential and advance their careers and businesses more rapidly, leveraging the power and flexibility of Microvellum software.
Colin Bailey, a Certified Microvellum Instructor from the UK, recently shared his experience as a teacher at MVU, stating, “I believe that most people who attended were able to reinforce best practices, deepen their knowledge, and gain a bit of confidence. I think that’s what MVU is all about – helping people learn more about the software that drives their production so they can maximise its usage, advance their careers, and grow their businesses.
