The Liveries Wood Group, comprising the Worshipful Company of Coopers, The Furniture Makers' Company, The Worshipful Company of Joiners and Ceilers, The Worshipful Company of Turners, Worshipful Company of Upholders, and The Worshipful Company Of Wheelwrights hosted a special visit to James Wood and the Williams and Cleal Furniture School in Somerset last month.
This event was the result of a long-standing collaboration between the Liveries Wood Group and Woodland Heritage, with whom the organisation is working to advance sustainable woodland management and research into tree diseases.
"Our thanks go to all who attended and to everyone who played a part in organising the day," says The Furniture Makers' Company. "Special appreciation to John Orchard of Woodland Heritage, the team at Williams and Cleal, and those who helped make the day both informative and enjoyable.
