As sales manager for Leitz Tooling, Brian Maddox is passionate about his work and is driven to bring smooth and efficient productivity and maximum profitability to as many companies as he can. He also likes to raise money for charity.
Anyone who knows Brian knows he doesn’t do anything by halves - this means that we’re not talking 24 hours in a comfy bath of baked beans, Brian seems to only do serious endeavours! Last year, Brian was the driving force behind Team Leitz’s fantastic Three Peaks Challenge achievement, and this year he trained hard for - and survived - the London Marathon, raising nearly £2500 for Action Medical Research and Haven House Children’s Hospice in the process.
“The marathon was an incredible experience. The support from not just friends and family, but complete strangers, throughout the whole day was totally inspiring,” says Brian.
With the full support of the company, Leitz Tooling sold raffle tickets to help raise donations. Representing Action Medical Research - dedicated to improving the health of babies and children through research - in front of the staff at Leitz Tooling’s head office in Harlow, committee member for Bishop Stortford Lenie Wisbey drew Harlow-local Debbie Lancaster as the winner of a brand new iPad Air, funded by the company.
Mrs Wisbey says: “This is the lifeblood of the charity. People put themselves through hell to raise money and make it possible for us to support amazing and necessary research for babies and children. On behalf of everyone, we can’t thank Brian and Leitz enough.”
