Event organiser, NürnbergMesse, has today decided to postpone Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau Frontale. The exhibition duo will now not take place as planned from 18th-21st March this year, but at a date in 2020 yet to be specified, in Nuremberg.
The reason for the postponement is the increased spread of Coronavirus and corresponding feedback from customers and industry representatives. The VDMA woodworking machinery), co-organiser of Holz-Handwerk, supports the approach.
The organiser says Holz-Handwerk and Fensterbau Frontale iremains scheduled for 2020 - but cannot yet say when exactly.
Petra Wolf, member of the management board of NürnbergMesse, says: “We hope that the industry will understand the decision to postpone. The aim of every exhibition has to be to create a special experience for exhibitors and visitors likewise and to enable networking and expansion of existing business relations.
“Unfortunately, this goal cannot be achieved under the current circumstances. All the more reason for us to put high pressure on the task to find the best possible alternative date for such an important event for our customers.”
Holz-Handwerk is a very important trade fair for the joinery and carpentry sectors across Europe with a wide range of products and services for woodworking, wood processing and woodworking machinery. Col-located with Fensterbau Frontale, where architects, window and façade manufacturers and the wider trade find out about the latest profile systems, glass in architecture, fittings, fastening technology, security technology, machines, systems and much more.
The postponement is of course highly disappointing – but the decision is clear and entirely understandable.
