Furniture Components Expo is a resounding success

The Furniture Component Expo (FCE) 2025, held at the Telford International Centre on March 19-20th, was a resounding success – earning a visitor rating of 4 out of 5 stars, with over 80% rating the event good or excellent. Organised by the British Furniture Association (BFA), the event brought together manufacturers and suppliers across the furniture supply chain, showcasing innovative products, fostering networking opportunities, and delivering valuable industry insights.

Visitors lauded the expo’s unique ability to provide in-person experiences in an increasingly digital age. Sarah Osborn of Sarah Osborn Upholstery remarked, “As a result of meeting a sewing machine supplier, I have now purchased a machine from them, which I wouldn’t have done were it not for the show.”

Kingcome Sofas highlighted the importance of physical demonstrations: “Seeing examples in person really is quite valuable.” Craftwork Upholstery also benefited from the event, stating, “We got a few new suppliers at better prices.” These testimonials underscore the expo’s role in facilitating direct connections and tangible business outcomes.

Exhibitors echoed the positive sentiment. Ben and Paul Falkingham of PCD Tooling Solutions expressed their satisfaction: “We have made some good contacts and hope to develop some good business relationships. We have pencilled in the calendar for next year.”

Dean Bradley, Sales Director at Glazpart Ltd, emphasised the event’s significance: “The FCE is the event to be at if you are involved in the design and manufacture of furniture in the UK,” and Chris Green from Plasfoils praised its comprehensive approach: “A very good show covering all aspects of the furniture industry rather than focusing on one specific area,” he says. “The show was one of the most useful and cost-effective solutions to promoting our name and products in the wider furniture sector.”

The expo featured an array of attractions, including seminars on topics such as ESG, intellectual property, technology, and EU regulations. Competitions hosted by exhibitors added an engaging element to the event. Sponsors like Vita Group, BeA Group, Carpenter Limited, and Prima Tooling played a pivotal role in supporting this landmark event.

This year’s expo has solidified its position as a cornerstone of the UK furniture industry and plans are already underway for FCE 2026. As BFA Managing Director Phil Spademan stated, “Once again, FCE was all about backing the British furniture industry … It’s proving to be a great formula.”
