With exhibitors focused on the issues of windows, doors and facades, Fensterbau Frontale is a considerable event – probably the most imporant of its type in the world, even with a number of notable cancellations, Fensterbau Frontale packs a punch giving visitors a comprehensive overview of the industry’s entire range of products and services in 2022.
The event is co-located with the mighty Holz-Handwerk show and the same ticket handily gives access to both events. The previous event, as with many large-scale events, took place in 2018, and this year it has mustered some 350 exhibitors from all over the world to present their innovations from the last four years.
The focus at Fensterbau Frontale will be on discovering and trying out products and solutions, when in addition to a fulsome supporting programme which also offers a comprehensive overview of the market, information on the latest industry trends, and many opportunities for professional development.
The key product spectrum on offer for this special summer edition of Fensterbau Frontale 2022 includes: Profile, Glass, Hardware, Machines and Technical Information. Profile features structural and profile systems, semi-finished materials, materials and production aids, components and pre-fabricated elements, shading and ventilating equipment. Glass comprises glass, and glass products. Hardware encompasses hardware, doors and fixing equipment, safety equipment and office organisation. Machines as you might expect features machines, installations and tools, operating systems and operating equipment. And finally, Technical information stands for services, associations, research and development.
The supporting programme is considerable at the event and includes: ‘Window, Door and Facade Construction Goes Digital’ which looks at ways skilled trades enterprises can put digital transformation into practice; and ‘Green Deal’ which, as well as being a key slogan of the event as a whole, will focus on issues of CO2 efficiency and using sustainable windows and structural components to protect against climate extremes like heat waves, hurricanes, hailstorms and floods.
In addition there will be expert talks, guided tours, information and presentations for architects, designers, innovations from Switzerland, and a plethora of wards recognising excellence across the sector.
The programme highlights for Fensterbau Frontale’s summer edition will be streamed live online in both German and English. Visitors can also use the Fensterbau Frontale App to get information in advance about exhibitors and products and create a wish list. The organiser says the App will makes it ‘easier to navigate the event on site thanks to a dynamic floor plan’ and there are push notifications if there are changes to anything in your personal wish list.
