Consolidating its position as one of the leading training providers within the woodworking and associated industries, Daltons Wadkin has issued distinctive red tops to its training personnel together with red/blue cases for their demonstration tooling sets.
Happy to stand out from the crowd, the company is keen to invite attention to its multi-faceted training programmes and the attention to detail which has long been a Daltons Wadkin hallmark.
Comprehensive illustrated training booklets covering most basic types of woodworking machines have been specifically created to provide a permanent record of the teaching and a useful reference point for trainees. Successful students receive individual certificates on completion of the training.
Sessions are arranged at customers’ premises anywhere within the UK and Ireland – or beyond – using where possible existing machines and equipment in order to provide particularly relevant training to suit current operations. Alternatively Daltons Wadkin is able to host training at its Nottingham headquarters.
Programmes cover woodworking and associated panel machining equipment as well as hand-operated power tools and abrasive wheels. PUWER assessments and risk assessments can also be provided on request.
The red and blue cases contain demonstration tooling which can be used to update trainees and employers regarding the latest safety equipment and also ensure where appropriate that training is provided using the correct tooling for any specific operation.
Working in association with highly experienced training provider, John Gubb of Safety Training Woodworking, the team at Daltons Wadkin is constantly looking to raise the bar where training standards are concerned as well as further increasing the scope of its activities.
Certificated operator training courses are provided for any number of trainees – from one or two machinists to multiple staff members for the larger companies. Programmes recently completed include training for 30 staff for the North Eastern Education and Library Board in Antrim, Northern Ireland, and sessions for Northumbria University and the National Portrait Gallery in London.
A totally professional, comprehensive and bespoke service to the industry has always been the goal and one which the company feels it has achieved in many areas but the Red Team are aiming even higher. Watch this space for further announcements.
