Enrico Aureli, President of Scm Group, has joined the leadership team of Confindustria Emilia-Romagna. President Riccardo Fava has appointed him Vice President, with responsibility for the manufacturing of the future, AI and digital technologies, aerospace and the space economy, marine, and automotive industries.

Aureli has been entrusted with responsibilities for the future, strategic and decisive areas for the growth of Emilia-Romagna’s entire production system,” stated President of Confindustria Romagna, Mario Riciputi. “We are proud of this appointment, which puts the industriousness and ingenuity of Romagna’s manufacturing sector at the service of the region’s entire economy.”
Enrico Aureli, 52, is married and has two children. After earning a degree in Management Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, he began his professional career at Aetna Group - Robopac and Ocme - in 2001. From 2005 to 2008, he served as President of Aetna Group USA before becoming CEO of the Group. From 2007 to 2011, he led Robopac and Robopac Sistemi, and since 2011 he has been CEO of Aetna Group, a company specialising in the production of advanced packaging machinery and systems, with a particular focus on end-of-line solutions and industrial packaging.
Since 2008, he has served on the Board of Directors of Scm Group, further developing his expertise in wood technologies, a sector that has always been a cornerstone of his family’s history. In 2021, he was appointed Vice President, and in 2025, he became President of the Group.
From 2016 to 2020, he served as President of UCIMA (Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers’ Association) and currently sits on its Board of Directors.
In March 2023, he was elected General Council Member and Board Member of the Rimini Territorial Delegation of Confindustria Romagna. Since June 2023, he has served as President of ACIMALL (Italian Woodworking Machinery and Tool Manufacturers’ Association).
