From 20th to 23rd May 2025, EGGER presented under the motto "Inspire. Grow. Create." its product, decor and surface innovations from the furniture and interior design segment. The wood-based material manufacturer's 800 m² exhibition stand proved to be a crowd-puller and attracted numerous international visitors.
EGGER is regarded as a future-orientated source of ideas within the industry and once again set new standards with its trade fair presentation at this year's interzum. Design, materiality and authenticity were at the centre of the wood-based material manufacturer's decor and texture innovations. EGGER's trade fair presentation reflected the company's innovative force and commitment to sustainable products. "With an impressive exhibition stand concept and our new products, we succeeded in inspiring the international trade fair audience," says a delighted Michael Egger Jun., Chief Sales Officer EGGER Group.
In the segment of service innovations, the wood-based material manufacturer presented EGGER TrendCast, a new type of decor consultation: virtual rooms, real samples and impressive design worlds create a unique service experience. This immersive experience revolutionises decor consulting and has already won the interzum Award 2025 for "High Product Quality".
In the sector of new decors and textures, ST35 Feelwood Canyon and Bookmatch Oak with the special feature of a repeatless presentation over a complete half format were particularly popular. Both were honoured with the interzum Award 2025 for "High Product Quality" and the Red Dot Award 2025 for "High Design Quality".
EGGER TrendCast: Rethinking decor consulting
With the development of EGGER TrendCast, the wood-based material manufacturer links design and technology with the ability to visualise trends and design concepts in virtual spaces. While conventional customer presentations often only show small hand samples, TrendCast enables an unprecedented decor consultation in which customers can immerse themselves in the fine details of the various decors and textures. "The opportunity to hold a real sample in your hand and at the same time experience its effect on a large scale and in different scenarios creates an unprecedented depth in decor consulting," says Matthias Wombacher from Decor and Design Management at EGGER. He adds: "The EGGER TrendCast stands out due to its unique ability to directly visualise trends and design concepts and bring them to life in a realistic way. This allows us to offer our customers a completely new service experience that goes far beyond traditional presentations."
At interzum 2025, EGGER TrendCast was presented on an impressive six-metre-wide, curved LED wall, which offered visitors a unique experience. The wood-based material manufacturer thus once again demonstrated how innovative services and digital technologies are effectively expanding the creative potential of the wood-based materials industry.
PerfectSense® Ambiance: Exclusive elegance with partial gloss effects
With PerfectSense Ambiance, EGGER is expanding its PerfectSense product range with fascinating stone effects that combine matt and glossy areas. The perfect coordination of the partial gloss effects with the underlying decor image of the stone reproductions creates a synchronised look as well as a unique experience through look and feel. "PerfectSense Ambiance is the answer to the desire for elegant, expressive stone effects that are both hard-wearing and easy to clean. Thanks to their anti-fingerprint properties and synchronised look and feel, the surfaces are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also ideal for high-quality kitchens, home furniture and shop and exhibition stand construction," explains Hubert Höglauer, Head of Marketing and Product Management for Furniture and Interior Design at the EGGER Group.
ST35 Feelwood® Canyon: Authentic wood effect with depth
With the introduction of the ST35 Feelwood Canyon texture, EGGER is continuing the success story of synchronised pore surfaces. The technology used enables even deeper embossing and ensures a more intense texture experience, while at the same time the pores appear visually more matt and natural. Klaus Monhoff emphasises: "With the new ST35 Feelwood Canyon texture, we are bringing the authenticity of solid wood even closer to industrial production - both visually and to the touch." The specially developed decors H3377 ST35 Natural Rocher Oak, H3379 ST35 Brown Rocher Oak and H3380 ST35 Maroon Rocher Oak give furniture a deceptively real wood look with a strong feel.
Repeatless half format: more individuality on a large surface area
EGGER is setting new standards in the reproduction of natural wood looks for large-area applications with the new repeat-less half format. "Our aim was to make the unique aesthetics of real veneer replicable on an industrial scale - with the flexibility and quality that characterise our products," says Monhoff. The innovative structure of the decor image, which covers a grain pattern of 3000 mm, ensures that the same decor image is only repeated on approximately every 17th board. In combination with the new, particularly matt ST17 Omnipore oiled surface, an authentic look is created that comes incredibly close to the appearance of oiled real wood.
Design meets responsibility: an exhibition stand concept with vision
With the new exhibition stand concept, EGGER sent out a strong signal in favour of innovation and creativity. The exhibition stand had an open, inviting concept with a studio character and represented an architectural highlight. "With a construction made of finger-jointed studwork timber, we are sending a clear signal for sustainable trade fair construction. For us, 'More from wood' does not only apply on paper, but in every detail," explains Höglauer.
