East Anglian Holdings has completed the acquisition of Mark Barnes and subsidiaries to consolidate the Symphony Coatings group.
The holding company for the Southern and Midlands Symphony Coatings businesses announced that on 10th June it acquired Mark Barnes – the holding company for the northern Symphony Coatings companies at Manchester, Huthwaite and Newcastle. The Symphony Coatings group is a nationwide supplier of technically advanced industrial coatings, sundries and spray equipment.
Director, Scott Williams, says: “By acquiring the three northern branches we can finally give our suppliers a truly unified national distribution network and bring the strengths from the two companies together to give customers an even better product offering and the best possible service. East Anglian Holdings has a complete coatings philosophy to distribute coatings to all industries including wood, metal, powder, glass, decorative and marine.”
The Symphony group has also announced the opening of a flagship Symphony distribution centre and trade counter in Park Royal, London.
Commenting on the company’s flagship launch, co-owner, Graham Morris, adds: “The Park Royal operation has been geared up to suit the specific requirements of the area with a trade counter and showroom, providing quick turnaround on colour matching and extended opening hours along with the usual delivery service, large stockholding and technical expertise associated with Symphony Coatings.”
